Aston Martin has always been about class and power. The company that Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford built almost a hundred years ago has never failed to exhibit quality and design. But today, we are experiencing various shifts in both commercial and environmental departments. Aston Martin, however, would never let themselves miss a blink. And so here it is, the new luxury commuter concept, “Cygnet”.
It is still in the works:

The Cygnet is based on the Toyota iQ, but with a new look and feel. The exterior will, of course, feature that Aston Martin stance and physique. Interior, re-crafted as well.
Aston Martin Chief Executive, Dr Ulrich Bez said: “Now is the right time for Aston Martin to take this first bold step to embark on this special project – made possible with the support of an organisation of Toyota’s stature and capability and the intelligent design and perfect city car package of the iQ.”
The bog standard Toyota iQ costs almost £ 10,000 in the UK, but it has a Euro NCAP 5-star safety package and 99 g/km carbon dioxide emissions. Aston Martin is expecting the Cygnet to be around € 30,000, next year.
