Allan Pineda Lindo aka apl.de.ap, of the Black Eyed Peas, is currently working on a solo album.
The still unnamed album will feature Billy Joe Crawford in the single “You Can Dream”. The stylish track “Island” will also be included, while the Apo Hiking Society’s participation in the album has been confirmed.
According to Pineda, the album will feature a blend of his signature hip hop style and modern dance music. To top everything off, he also included traditional Filipino music; from folk to tinikling. The aspiring production was made possible through a collaboration with Chad Hugo of the Neptunes and N.E.R.D. They are hoping to further express their Filipino roots and innovative styles through mainstream music.
Aside from being a co-founder and full-time member of the Black Eyed Peas, apl.de.ap has released a few Tagalog songs since the group’s commercial debut, namely “The Apl Song”, “Bebot” and “Mare”.
